Beau: Five Months

Weight: Big

Length: Long

Milestones:
Mr. Man has become a rolling fool this month! You lay him down on his back, and he immediately rolls to his belly. It has become his favorite position, which is a shock given how much he didn't like tummy time when he was a tiny guy. He will happily play on his belly for long lengths of time as long as he has toys within reach. Beau has also gone from clumsy grabbing to expert grasping in the last month. He doesn't fumble for things, but latches onto them with an iron grip as soon as they are placed near enough for him to grab. He has been working on sitting on his own, but hasn't quite mastered it. He still topples over the second Mommy lets go, but he's getting stronger.

Loves:
Beau has started to express more interest in his toys, but his O-ball rattle is still his favorite. He lights up whenever he sees it, and grabs onto it with glee whenever it is presented to him. He also loves his "mushroom" toy and will suck away on the little knobs all through church. Beau is content to lay on the floor and play with his toys for very long lengths of time which is very helpful for Mom and Dad who usually have their hands full with Beau's older siblings too. Beau's favorite thing is eating. Bottles. Nursing...he doesn't discriminate. He just LOVES to have a full tummy and will start grunting in anticipation whenever he knows food is on the horizon. He also loves people and will start grinning as soon as anyone starts talking to him. People always comment on what a happy, easy-going baby Beau is, and it is SO true. He is truly delightful.

Hates:
If Beau's favorite thing on the planet is being full, his least favorite thing is being hungry. Beau rarely cries and is usually happy. But, if he is at all hungry, he will go from zero to 60 in seconds until a nipple is in his mouth. And once that nipple is removed (no matter how full he is), he RAGES. The rage only lasts for seconds (probably because he realizes he is actually full), but it is intense, even if short-lived. Besides that, Beau is generally easy-going and pleasant. He's just content to go along for the ride, no matter what that looks like!
